The Reality Of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
PCOS. No it’s not the name of a new Corona Virus strain. Polycystic ovary syndrome,
We know how distressing living with acne can be. For those who suffer with congested skin, be it acne, enlarged pores or blackheads, there are a number of acne treatments that will absolutely help.
IPL (intense pulsed light) is one of the most effective treatments for acne. It is a non-invasive acne treatment that will calm and reduce active acne, in addition to reducing the redness and pigmentation from previous breakouts and older scars.
We also have a range of professional Jan Marini skin care products that are highly effective in treating acne including our range of glycolic skin peels.
During a free consultation we can assess the condition of your skin and help you to choose treatment(s) that will give you the best outcome. We can treat both active acne as well as recommend treatments that will improve the appearance of your skin if it has been left scarred or pitted from former breakouts.
In addition to our range of individual treatments we also offer a fast-track six week intensive programme for active acne.

For those that are looking to maximise results quickly, you may wish to consider our unique 6 week intensive acne treatment programme, a bespoke package which combines IPL with other treatments in an optimal sequence to achieve the best outcome.
We recommend at least 2-4 treatments, with each appointment lasting one hour.

IPL treatments will require a skin patch test 24 hours ahead of treatment, other treatments such as our Super Facial or Glycolic Skin Peels are suitable for all skin types.
A skin patch test can be administered during a free consultation, however it is chargeable at £25, however this amount will later be deducted from your first treatment payment.
If you choose IPL treatment this is a gentle treatment with no downtime and less side effects than medication. The IPL treatment feels warm and like an elastic band flicking on the skin.
Some treatments including IPL will result in some redness immediately after the treatment, however this will usually disappear within 2 hours. In most cases make up can be applied immediately, although we would usually recommend using only a UV protector on the day of treatment.
All of our treatments deliver immediate visible results, with some continuing to promote new collagen, hyaluronic acid and elastin for up to 2 years after treatment.
